ART TUTORIALS / PERFORMANCE WATERCOLOUR FOR BEGINNERS; These days are ideally suited with little or no experience The lessons will be friendly and fun - non competitive; But the progress will be spectacular-gained from early experiences as art lecturer on cruise ships in the eighties; " On my first one in 1982 - I was a disaster for the first two days - but I knew they couldn't go anywhere for a fortnight - I was eventually asked to do as many as I could" Danny has taught thousands to paint since then - with engagements at art societies-village halls - Art colleges, Summer Schools and art conventions - converting non-painters to the joys of watercolour and drawing with his simplistic techniques and original approach.. ************************************************** WATERCOLOUR MASTERCLASS These courses are a rare opportunity to improve all aspects of Watercolour & drawing-and are best suited to those with some previous artistic experience. Danny explores and explains and demonstrates all stages of the process of; Composition / Drawing / Colour / Light / Technique / identity / style / Representational / Impressionism / Abstract / pen & wash / which materials & more...gaining a better understanding of the philosophy and development of the senses in artistic relativity and creativity. Danny has completed 8 years as main art tutor in watercolour for Marlborough College Summer School. Bath University's Lifelong learning studies programme. Many other Art establishments. ************************************************ ARTS IN THE COMMUNITY Yorkshire arts sponsored Danny to link with the South Yorkshire Community to do a winter watercolour day Dec 2002 Winsor Newton sponsored the art materials which attracted 140 participants on a Sunday - including the W.W. challenge 100 people -100 paintings in one hour - which was well achieved - with the teaching aid of the large cinema screen, and featured on Yorkshire Television. ************************************************ PERFORMANCE IN THE ARTS ' WATERCOLOUR WORDS & MUSIC' 'THE GRANVILLE D. CLARKE EXPERIENCE' A unique entertainment in the arts - from this multi-talented artist /artiste. His programme includes dynamic watercolour demonstrations and sketches-which are interspersed with Danny's own poetry / original songs and relative classic traditional material - working self-contained - accompanying himself on acoustic guitars and piano. & presented in his own inimitable organic style - infectious enthusiasm and linked with spontaneous eccentricities and stories. Performance duration can be tailored to suit the situation - normally a two hour show - with interval between, or one hour performance. Venues with a large projection screen are preferable when performing to audiences of over 100 - i.e. Arts Centres, Cinemas - etc. Rural touring on the Village hall circuit is also undertaken i.e. 'Hog the Limelight' Hampshire TV Showreel & 'Live at the Lamproom' Video available See merchandise page…. ************************************************* 'VISUALLY VIVALDI' Was an initiative developed by Danny in conjunction with the Knaresborough Arts Festival and Pro-musica orchestra - 1999 When Danny completed 4 large impressionistic watercolours - depicting the seasons and feel of the music and mood to an enthralled audience of 800 - And just for good measure read Vivaldi's sonnets to set the feel - prior to the painting of each canvas. Dynamic lighting added to what was a memorable evening of around one hour duration. *********************************************** 'CLASSICAL MANOEUVRES IN ART' For a more intimate setting…. Working with a classical pianist - Danny created an arts Programme -for an evening in the Gainsborough room at Marlborough College 2001 -which involved art interpretations of the 'Moonlight Sonata' - 'Reflections on the Water'And the Jupiter Planet suite - linked with relative poetry - Another innovative first - well received by the 100 audience Duration was around one hour.
